Joyce Northey is a Producer / Director hailing from Melbourne,
Australia.
His passion for filmmaking began at a young age, when he realised his favourite way to tell the short stories he would write was
through a visual medium.
He then pursued film and media studies while also making short films during his high school years.
Joyce took a break from filmmaking after completing high school, only to re-ignite his passion in 2013 when he filmed a documentary on the Shepparton Festival with ABC Open. He then decided to pursue film as a career and began undertaking a filmmaking course at Footscray City Films in 2014.
Graduating with an Advance Diploma of Screen and Media at Footscray City Films at the end of 2016, Joyce continued his study in 2017 at Deakin University in Burwood. Studying a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Film and Television, he graduated at the end of 2019.
Having worked as a Director in Melbourne for eight years, Joyce has worked on numerous short films whilst seeing his love for film and music being combined through the music videos he has produced and directed.
